I’m a macroevolutionary biologist who uses and develops quantitative approaches to answer broad questions about the tempo and mode of evolution. All of my research is grounded in empirical studies, mostly of mammals and especially carnivores.
My research can be broken down into three major themes: Understanding the dynamics of evolutionary radiations, Phylogenetic Paleobiology, and the Evolution of Form and Function. Click on one of the subheadings under Research to find out more about what I do.
